Monsieur Contraste was screened at the Carrack Modern Art in Downtown Durham, N.C., during an incredibly successful run of two weeks, with six out of nine screenings sold out. This is the first time that a local film maker attempted to show his film in Durham, N.C. for more than 2 days. In all, 447 tickets were sold.
The event's title was Monsieur Contraste and The Church of Photography and it consisted of a screening of Monsieur Contraste in the same space featuring a retrospective of Jean-Christian Rostagni's (a.k.a. Monsieur Contraste) photographs. The crowd keep coming and coming back, which translated in record sales of photographs.
